A large part of my role as a doula and childbirth educator is informational support.  Below you will find links to local providers, events, and information. I hope that the information found here helps to ease your journey and allows each parent to make the best decisions for their ideal birth.  Let me know if I can answer any questions.

Tips and Tools for Active Birth

Hands-on comfort measures, positioning and relaxation techniques for progressing each stage of labor. This class is offered in 2 evenings of instruction 6:30-9:00 pm $95.00 per couple. Kaiser Pregnant Mother’s Group
Bi-weekly group for expectant Kaiser Mothers. 2nd and 4th Mondays from 6:30-8:00 pm. Meet in Conference Center Room c1/c2. No registration or RSVP. No Fee to attend.

 

Homebirth Lunch:
4th Monday of each month, 12:30 – 2pm
South Bay Homebirth Collective – 967 W. Hedding st. ste 100 San Jose CA 95126

Bring your lunch and meet with other homebirth parents, parents-to-be, and families interested in homebirth. Informal and unfacilitated.

 

HomeBirth 101
An Introduction to homebirth Midwives in your community.
Whether you are pregnant for the first time, a mother of four who wants one more, or a newly wed couple exploring what the next step could look like,
you are invited to come learn more about the viable option of having your baby at home, including affordability, safety, cleanliness and more
from the licensed health care professionals that can make this dream a reality for your family. Drop in and have all your questions answered!

Meet the Midwives Tea:
Join Lin and Maria of Bay Area Maternity for their monthly ‘Tea with Midwives’ and learn more about what Hospital Nurse Midwifery looks like. This is a great place to ask questions, meet other pregnant moms and dads and share your birth story.

The Tea is held the 3rd Sunday of each month in the Los Gatos-El Camino Hospital Conference Rooms 1 & 2 – 5:00-7:00 pm.
